An interactive print installation inspired by the longstanding armed conflict in Colombia and the Global South.
Alejandro Casazi (Castaño Isaza) lives and works in Santa Barbara, California. He received his BA from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) and his MFA from the University of California Santa Barbara. He has shown nationally and internationally, including recent exhibitions at the International Print Center New York (NY), Galería Sextante (Colombia), Art League Houston (TX), MCASB Museum of Contemporary Arts Santa Barbara (CA), Atkinson Gallery (CA), ARTBO (Colombia) and ARTEBA (Argentina). His work is in the public collections of New York Public Library (NY), Brown University (RI), Stanford University (CA), University of California Santa Barbara (CA), and University of California Berkeley (CA). He is a co-founder and chief curator of PLATFORM, a gallery space at UC Santa Barbara, and works as the Senior Artist at the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center. Casazi currently teaches in the programs of Print-Media and Drawing in UC Santa Barbara’s Department of Art.
