Traveling between the possible and impossible, dream and reality, beast and man Omar Nava's large canvas paintings introduce a palette that is lush and vibrant. His extraordinary etchings give us a breath of his drawing skills and mastery as an etcher and printer.

Omar Nava works with traditional materials but his imagery is one that speaks to the urban and socio-political  landscape that surrounds him. His lines meticulously drawn and connected to each other, his figures are frightful and funny at the same time, his use of colors suggests knowledge and regard to the array of possibilities of hues and tones when working with oils.  He has earned the respect as an artist and as a printer participating in many exhibitions including the 2003 Bienal del Noroeste, a most prestigious drawing invitational from Mexico, for which he was selected as a finalist. Most recently he represented Tijuana in the University of Arts and Sciences in Tuxtla, Chiapas, and in Guadalajara with two series of drawings which were also part of his first project at Triludiko in Tijuana. His watercolors are exquisite and favorites among private collectors in Southern California and Mexico.
