designLAb is pleased to present 15 new contemporary art and design exhibitions opening Wednesday, September 18.
Highlights include over 20 large format "abstractions" by renowned contemporary architectural photographer Durston Saylor on view in space B231. Saylor's photographs have been fundamental in the ongoing dialogues of the interior design movements, helping to define the broader cultural context of late 20th century design. The exhibition, entitled Circumstantial Evidence, presents a combination of personal and architectural photographs investigating form, color, and texture. Saylor is widely recognized for his twenty-year association with Architectural Digest and is the recipient of many photography awards including the Quality of Life Design Award, The Hyland Award for Photography, and the fifth annual Stars of Design award.
