At the Mary & Joseph Retreat Center, 5300 Crest Road, RPV
Art is an expression of our creative spirituality and on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm fine art and music will be flourishing in the gardens of the Mary & Joseph Retreat Center in Rancho Palos Verdes. Join us for this amazing event combining fine art and artists, sunshine, Taiko drums and Barbershop harmony, flowers and strawberry shortcake.
Local artists will be painting, drawing and displaying their work throughout our eight acres of gardens including many local favorites such as Logan Fox, Scott Brown, Angelica Sotiriou, Jerry Fluery, Jan Nowinski, JoAnne Fallon Finnegan, Bob Mackie and Jeanne Windoffer. Art will be available for purchase or commission.
The stellar Taiko Drum Corp from Crespi Carmelite High School will be drumming for us to stir our souls with sound. We will again be serenaded by the famous Southbay Coastliners Barbershop Harmony Chorus! Members of the South Bay Chapter of the world's largest men's singing organization, these boys really know how to put on a show. They have been coming to our center to sing for us every summer since 2008!
Last year's event was enjoyed by over 150 guests ~ don't miss this opportunity for relaxing afternoon in our beautiful sun-dappled gardens... and to top it off your admission ticket includes our famous homemade strawberry shortcake with all the trimmings, lemonade and iced tea. Join us for a lovely afternoon of art, music, singing, wonderful food, good cheer and fellowship.
