Award Winning photographer and Photo Gallery Editor of the toy camera publication,
Light Leaks Magazine, Aline Smithson will expose you to the wide variety of toy camera
images being produced today. She will explain the ins and outs of using toy cameras,
discuss film types, techniques, and all the great results that can be achieved with a $15
camera.

Students will be asked to bring either a Holga or Diana camera, black gaffers tape, and
enthusiam for a whole new way of seeing the world. Students are also asked to bring
examples of their work.

After a career as a New York Fashion Editor and working along side the greats in photo-
graphy, Aline discovered her own passion behind the lens. Aline has been extensively
published and exhibited in the U.S. and Europe, has won numerous awards including
the PX3 Award in portraiture for two years in a row. She is a passionate teacher and
mentor, with a sense of humor and eye for the unusual.
