The Conversation With… series brings artists and other creative minds to Laguna Art Museum to discuss their practice in a casual conversation with guests. The next participant in the series is Lisa Pearson of Siglio Press. The evening will begin with a brief presentation by Pearson, followed by the rare opportunity for museum visitors to engage with the presenter in conversation.
Lisa Pearson is the founder of Siglio, an independent publishing house in Los Angeles. Siglio is dedicated to producing uncommon books that live at the intersection of art and literature. Its titles have garnered high praise in the New York Times, the London Review of Books, the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books, NPR, Bookforum, Publishers Weekly, The Believer, and BOMB magazine, amongst others. In 2011 Pearson was singled out by the Los Angeles Times as a “Face to Watch” in books and publishing. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon and BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
Following the discussion, enjoy a mixer featuring complimentary beverages and the opportunity to meet the presenter.
