Jim Berenholtz, noted ethnomusicologist based in San Francisco, presents a visually stunning lecture and demonstration of the ceremonial dance and music of native Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia with indigenous musical instruments. Audience participation including learning the Hawaiian chant to Lara, the goddess of the forest.
