Claremont, CA - PermaDirty Project Space is pleased to present Intertwine Originals, an exhibition celebrating seven emerging artists that got their start in the Inland Empire and Chaffey College Community. The seven artists exhibiting are some of the original resident artists of PermaDirty Project Space and intertwine in many different ways with each other and PermaDirty owner Cynde Miller, who brought them along on a great adventure when she opened PermaDirty in February 2012.
Intertwine Originals celebrates the one-year anniversary of PermaDirty Project Space. PermaDirty, a gallery and project space, takes a radically different approach to viewing, exhibiting and making art, offering workshops and community events that will leave one thinking about art in new and exciting ways. Unlike the “white cube” of most galleries, PermaDirty Project Space is a living, raucous space full of art production, discussion and informal and comfortable viewing of art processes and products.
Intertwine Originals features works by Kevin Alexander (Art Center College of Design), Bob Hurton (Chaffey College), Celia Sanchez (Art Center College of Design), Roger Tilton (California Institute of the Arts), Efrain Torres (California State University, San Bernardino), Monique Villanueva (California Institute of the Arts) and Minh Vo (University of California, Riverside). Their works explore painting, printmaking, photography, graphic design, mixed media, sculpture and installation.
Intertwine Originals opens March 1 and runs through May 3, 2013. Opening reception will be held on March 1, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at PermaDirty Project Space. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
PermaDirty Project Space is located on the second floor of the Packing House in Claremont, California at 532 West First Street, Unit 219, Claremont, CA 91711.
