MOAH is thrilled to present new and selected works by internationally celebrated minimalist artist Gary Lang. Born in Los Angeles, California, Lang earned his MFA from Yale University in 1974 and has enjoyed a vibrant career with exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, United Nations Plaza in New York along with numerous gallery shows in Los Angeles, New York, Japan, Austria, France, The Netherlands and Spain to name a few. Lang’s formal vocabulary of minimalist geometries, surface tension, color saturation, energetic rhythm, and the basic element of the line is strikingly sensuous while calmly meditative. The exhibition opens Thursday, March 14th with a public reception on Saturday March 16th from 4pm - 6pm.

The exhibiton will be accompanied by a One Hour-One Painting session with renowned Buddhist practiioner and art critic Peter Clothier.  Thursday April 11th 6:00-8:00 p.m.
