Annenberg Space for Photography

From capturing the cultural survival of some of the most ancient peoples on the planet to creating savvy strategies to get stories out there, Caroline Bennett uses photography as a tool to shed light on social justice, cultural and environmental threats and survival, and the human condition. Her work strives for a balance that is grounded in ethical photojournalism, uniquely creative and founded in truth and the dignity of the people represented. She seeks to empower actors working for the common good beyond providing access to high-impact visual storytelling with cutting-edge communication strategies, and an innovative and practical sphere for implementing interactive advocacy journalism that goes beyond elevating awareness and inspires action.

Caroline Bennett has won several awards for her work on projects for local and international NGOs, the United Nations, The New York Times, Miami Herald, The Wall Street Journal, among others.  She is currently based between San Francisco and the Amazon region.

The Annenberg Space for Photography offers live programming through our IRIS Nights lecture series, a public program offered free of charge, by online reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. The series brings to life the most current exhibit with presentations by exhibit featured photographers and other notable experts and guest artists. These programs give attendees unique access to the artists in the intimate setting of the Photography Space.

Please note that our lectures tend to fill up quickly. Don't be discouraged if you are unable to get tickets through our online ticketing system. The standby list for each lecture begins at 5pm on the day of the event in person at the Photography Space. About 10 minutes prior to the start of the lecture, we release any seats that have not been claimed by ticketholders to our standby guests.
