Presented by The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG), France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX), and Palais de Tokyo, Paris
LOST (in LA) is an exhibition and an innovative dialogue between LA and French artists reproducing the quintessential Los Angeles experience of being lost in the heart of this metropolis. LOST (in LA) weaves 60 artworks and an extraordinary venue into an intriguing adventure where layers of time and space appear to be interlaced together atop a hill hidden in the middle of the city.

“Suspended Sculptures” Family Art Workshop
Saturday, January 19, 2013, 1-4 PM / Free
Join us at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery to experience this special exhibition, “Lost In L.A.” This drop-in Free Family Art Workshop is inspired by the one-of-a kind, site-specific three-dimensional artworks created by artists from the France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX). Families will have the opportunity to explore geometric shapes and forms as they cut, construct and create a small-scale suspended sculpture. We will use a variety of unique and everyday colorful materials including: wire, straws, sticks and other special items.
For more information contact Marta Feinstein at: met_marta@sbcglobal.net or call (323) 644-6269.
No reservations neccessary.
