Anna Mayer lives and works in Los Angeles, where she got her MFA from CalArts in 2007. Mayer has completed residencies at Ox-bow School of of the Arts and threewalls (Chicago). Selected exhibitions include the Hammer Museum's Venice Beach Biennial Cerritos College Art Gallery (CA), Kendall Koppe (UK), A.I.R. Gallery (NY), and Klaus Von Nichtssagend (NY). This November she will stage a new project, Negative Sessions at Pomona Museum (CA) as part of the Bureau of Experimental Speech and Holy Theses. In addition to her solo practice, Mayer works with Jemima Wyman as part of the collaborative duo CamLab, which staged three events at MOCA (LA) earlier this year as part of the Museum's Engagement Party series.
