> DESCRIPTION

Best known for his darkly humorous stop-motion animated films that touch on themes of love, death, salvation, and the underworld, filmmaker Brent Green performs live with a series of his recent short films. Through performance and live narration, Green presents a stop-motion autobiography of rich, idiosyncratic symbology to an accompaniment of raw Americana music with guest musicians Tim Rutili (Califone) and Mike McGinley (Bitter Tears, Califone).

Special thanks to: Endever Music Productions, Santa Barbara, CA; Franciscan Inn, Santa Barbara, CA; Imagine Wine, Santa Ynez, CA; KCSB, Santa Barbara, CA; National Endowment for the Arts, Washington, DC; Santa Barbara Independent, CA; and Warbler Records & Goods, Santa Barbara, CA. Forum Lounge is presented in association with the Santa Barbara Downtown Organization’s 1st Thursday.
