Blood for Art - Sunday, August 10 th 10 am - 4pm

In cooperation with the American Red Cross, Quorum will present a simple proposition to the public: a pint of blood for an original print by one of thirteen artists. By asking people contribute a small, but explicit quantity of themselves, and offering donors a piece of art in return, we aremore than acting out a mechanical barter, we're asking "How are you willing to spend your blood ?"

Quorum is a collective of San Francisco Bay Area artists, curators, writers, and art dealers dedicated to generating arts discourse, and transforming that dialogue into action. Past projects include "Blood for Art" at SCOPE Miami and "Code Switching" at Swarm Gallery in Oakland, CA.
