THE OUTSIDERS
OPENING SATURDAY JUNE 30, 2012 | 6-9PM
Show runs Jun 30 - Aug 1

Coinciding with the Los Angeles Design Festival, Exhale Unlimited presents THE OUTSIDERS, a group exhibition benefiting the artists of ECF Art Centers & Lamp Community’s Fine Arts Program. The show will feature select paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures created by artists living with intellectual disabilities (ECF Art Centers) or mental illness (Lamp Community) working within these organizations’ studios. Profits from artwork sales will benefit artists directly as well as help support ECF and Lamp art programs.

EXHALE UNLIMITED is a social justice company committed to supporting nonprofit organizations and their programs by offering services and creating partnership opportunities to increase their visibility, outreach, and fundraising. www.exhaleunlimited.com

ECF ART CENTERS have mentored adult artists with developmental disabilities since 1968. Representing over 140 artists working at four studios in the SoCal area, ECF is nationally recognized for leadership in demonstrating that individuals with developmental disabilities can excel in fine art. www.artecf.org

LAMP COMMUNITY'S FINE ARTS PROGRAM is a pioneering studio arts collective in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. It is a vital component of Lamp’s mission to end homelessness among Los Angeles' most vulnerable individuals, primarily adults with mental illness, through a continuum of services and housing, enabling them to reach their highest level of self sufficiency and community integration. www.lampartproject.org

EVENT PARKING: Pay parking lots are located at the north end of Chung King Rd. as well as in Bamboo Plaza across the street. Metered street parking is also available.
