> DESCRIPTION

Multi-award-winning Belfast artist Simon McWilliams returns to Skotia Gallery for a second solo show; this time in California with his one man exhibition Shoots and Ladders. McWilliams brings his unique perspective on the urban landscape to the heart of Culver City's art district with an exhibition of new paintings.

McWilliams studied painting at the Royal Academy Schools in London and is a regular contributor to the arts. His paintings have won critical acclaim throughout Ireland and the UK. His observations on the modern Irish Landscape can be seen as a comment on the all-invasive property boom of the ‘90s and its deep recession.
