The show features a series of 6 photographs that present the urban landscape of San Pedro, and its neighboring harbor towns. By using diptychs of both daytime and nighttime, McLane explores the sources of light pollution from the local business and industry in the city.
Jeff McLane is an artist living and working in Los Angeles, California. Born in Oklahoma, his photographic works have focused on rural land function, urban landscape and image capture technology. He received his BFA from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), and is an active contributor of the Los Angeles based art collective From Here To There. Recent exhibitions include Jeff McLane: Effulgence, Angels Gate Cultural Center, 2011 and Manual Transmission, Humble Arts Foundation, 2010. In 2011, his work was featured in the publication The Collector's Guide to New Art Photography Vol. 2, Humble Arts Foundation.
