This program is part of a series of occasional lectures about new acquisitions and donations to the Museum’s permanent collections.

The Museum is proud to announce the acquisition of an important oil painting by Anton Raphael Mengs, a portrait of Don Luis de Borbón.  Dr. John Marciari, Curator of European Art, will explain to audience members the importance of Mengs to the rise of Neo-Classical Art and how and why this work is such a valuable addition to our collection of European Art.
