> DESCRIPTION

Now based in Paris, Veaceslav Druta is from Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Druta was Outpost for Contemporary Art's resident artist for the month of May. This exhibition marks the beginning of the new partnership between Outpost and Open Gallery which now share adjacent spaces.

Veaceslav Druta creates interactive situations using video, performance, music, and sculpture. He views his works as objects and situations that allow him to establish interaction with people. He is interested in notions regarding the perception of reality, unity and multiplicity, collective memory and interdependency, among others. The two videos on display are the result of Druta's May residency in Los Angeles.
