Organized by Guan Rong, a dropout of the 2008 MFA class at California Institute of the Arts, "The Graduation" began with a desire to stage a fake graduation ceremony for Rong's parents. "The Graduation" presents 29 artists who will design the stage, sound, tickets, give speeches, show short videos, or present performances. Taking the form of a graduation ceremony and without Guan's parents being present, "The Graduation" is an evening showcase for the artists, most of whom are in or have recently graduated from art school. Please join us for this exciting exercise in commencement and ceremony!

Guests are also invited to attend The Rehearsal (Opening) on May 22 4-9pm - a site-specific working day for the artists of "The Graduation" and an opportunity to observe howa show is set up.
