Very Venice Art & Design Gallery is presenting a silent auction of Halloween-themed pieces by artists: Samuel Bendall, Stefanie Vega, Tomer Peretz, Jennifer Joyce and Margo Strong. Bendall is displaying his photographs of derelict corners of Los Angeles. Scary does not even begin to describe the risks associated with photographing these haunts. When asked to describe his journey to capture these eerie places, he said that “death lies with one false step, altercations with zombie vagrants are around every dark corner and don’t even mention the spiders.”
Vampire fans will enjoy Tomer Peretz’s paintings of his sexy, fanged muses. But if you’re looking for a special spook, Stefanie Vega’s creations--exquisite dolls made of porcelain and taxidermy--never fail to illicit a gasp. Each doll is based on a popular fairytale or novel and comes with a beautiful poem that describes their unique background. Jennifer Joyce is showing her mixed media ceramic piece, Is That You, Dark Bob? And Margo Strong is auctioning her popular fingerless woven gloves, which make a perfect addition to any Halloween costume! So swing by Very Venice Art & Design Gallery from now until October 31st to get your chance to bid on these one-of-a-kind items!
