Venice, CA ---- L.A. Louver is pleased to present an exhibition of painting and sculpture by twelve contemporary artists who are inspired by masterworks of art history. This exhibition highlights the diverse ways in which artists relate to, interpret and draw inspiration from their artistic forebears, to create work that is new, vital and relevant to our time. The exhibition is presented with wall text from each artist about his/her individual approach and nature of influence, together with an image of the related masterwork.
