> DESCRIPTION

For this Project Room, Calle proposes to “study how economic crisis might affect males in developing countries in terms of social behavior. One of the common male roles in Latin American societies is still that of the sole provider, thus the family dominant figure. Decreasing economic power or formal job loss might develop a dependence on other family members, altering gender roles or interrelations between them.”
