Anicomically Correct: A Group Exhibition

Distinction Gallery and ArtHatch present a compelling new group show entitled “Anicomically Correct” in honor of San Diego’s Annual Comic-Con. Highlighting the art of Chris Umana, N.C. Winters, David Talbott, Greg Evans (creator of Luann), David Lozeau, Mike Bell, Chris White, Josh Taylor, Eric Richardson, Nicole Waszak, Tim Vermeulen, Scott Rohlfs, Brett Hess, Ivan Unwin, Scott Hatt, Bonnie Durham, John Purlia, and Peter Adamyan.  This talented group of artists draws inspiration from Comics, through their own artistic and personal interpretations, creating a clever and entertaining collection of extraordinary images.  The exhibit will be open from July 9th – August 6th.

The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 from 6-10pm with Live Music, complimentary Stone Brewery Beer and for guests 21 years of age or older. A Second Reception will be held during the weekend of Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 from 7-10pm. 

ArtHatch is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: exhibitions changing monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, the teen room featuring artwork by 6 local teens, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge artwork.

A variety of art books, prints, and collectors dolls are now available for purchase.
