Copro Gallery presents a solo art exhibition by Paul Frank "CHARACTERRIFIC".
This will be Paul's largest exhibition of his artwork since the last show at Copro/Nason almost 10 years ago. This exhibition will feature many of his soft sculptures encased in custom boxes as well as drawings, paintings and special Paul Frank products made especially for this show.
Paul Frank (b. 1967) is an artist who is internationally known for his use of animal caricatures and bold color schemes applied to popular clothing and accessories.
Paul uses a blend of humor, sarcasm, current events, and pop culture to create characters that are worn by both the young and old. Frank's t-shirt designs and accessories have appeared in magazines, television shows, commercials, music videos, and motion pictures.
Paul describes his fine art pieces as a 3-D form of his character art. He creates soft sculptural forms by using traditional techniques such as sewing, sculpting, painting, woodworking, screen-printing, and other elements of handcraft.
Paul Frank lives in Los Angeles California with his wife, Susan, and their two dogs, Dusty and Jasper.
