Angles Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Liam Jones. Jones's ongoing interest in the domestic and consumer habitat of the bourgeois is inventively depicted in the clean lines and muted colors of his paintings. Socio-economic status becomes increasingly important in Jones's work as he consciously seeks out inspiration from places associated with the working class. The impressive entrance of a mobile home park set at the foreground of its prefab community is metaphoric of the camouflaged American dream. Set primarily around California's central coast and bay area, many of the locations are close to where Jones' lives now or did at one time.
Jones's works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at venues including Caren Golden Gallery, New York City, New York, Dust Gallery, Las Vegas, Nevada, POST, Los Angeles, California, Angles Gallery, Santa Monica, California Creative Artists Agency, Beverly Hills, California, Linq Real Art, San Francisco, California, California Museum of Art, California Small Works, Santa Rosa, California, RB Stevenson Gallery, Mass Appeal, San Diego, California.
