BLEICHER/GOLIGHTLY

Bleicher/Golightly Gallery presents a solo exhibition Summum Bonum by artist Leora Lutz. Emphasized by her use of text, paint, and thread, Lutz creates an exceptional visual language which explores the human experience. Deriving inspiration from Plato’s Timeaus, Lutz explores human treatment of emotion through her own visual vocabulary.

The development of her pieces evolve from a simple exploit of a word, often of Greek and Latin origin.  The word is reconstructed mapping of the letters over abstract horizons. Her work creates a visual conversation between the furtive illuminations of artificial and natural occurrences. Consequently, Lutz’s work reveals an acknowledgment and rejection of one’s self. Exposing her viewers to a figurative and tangible landscape of language and sky.
