ARENA 1 Gallery is pleased to present PINK III curated by Heather Harmon and Nicole Dungao. PINK III features sculpture, painting and installation by Jimi Gleason, Robert Acuna, Wendy Adest, Daniele Albright & Stefan Lawrence, Maura Bendett, Shary Boyle, Thierry Feuz, Alejandro Gehry, Carrie Jenkins, Andy Moses, Katy Stone, Samantha Thomas, Peter Wu, Rosha Yaghmai and Almond Zigmund.

ARENA 1 is also delighted to announce a special performance by the LA Art Girls. This performance will take place on opening night around 8 pm and will be accompanied by the sale of one of a kind shirts. The proceeds of the shirt sales will benefit a charity supported by the LA Art Girls. A percentage of exhibition sales will benefit the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Pink” originally opened the Cartelle Gallery and is now presenting its third interpretation of a color that often eludes critical definition. The premise of the first Pink Show was to create a feeling reminiscent of the Rococo and the second was centered around works on canvas. The participating artists differ from year to year and each new incarnation of Pink seeks to include a new curatorial voice. The curators want the viewer to be fully immersed in PINK - to illustrate the extraordinary range of interpretations dealing with a color that is serious, fresh, frivolous and a force to be reckoned with.
