Distinction Gallery continues its tradition of exhibiting innovative artworks by exceptionally talented artists to the Southern California region, with an exciting new group show entitled “The Pillars of the Earth: A Tribute to the Masters” featuring the art of Sean Chappell, Jeff Christensen, Nathaniel Clark, Andy Haynes, Jon Jaylo, Jason John, Dan Lydersen, Macsorro, Pedro Matos, Joey Remmers, Ivan Unwin, Timothy Vermeulen, Beau White, and Pamela Wilson. This talented group of artists draws inspiration from the theme of “Masters”, through their own artistic, historical, and personal interpretation, creating a captivating collection of mind-blowing and striking images. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 6-10pm with Live Music, complimentary Stone Brewery Beer and Wiens Family Cellars Wine for guests 21 years of age or older.


Distinction Gallery is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: exhibitions change monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, ArtHatch, a non-profit focusing on work from teenage artists from the San Diego community, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge art work with a soft focus on Urban Surrealism. Distinction exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists.
