What happens when one explores the very fringes of photography? What happens when one embarks on an alchemical journey which literally breaks down the definition of what contemporary photography is known to be? By creating images with or without a camera, in nature or in the darkroom, these photographers push the boundaries of their craft. Images form organically through the interaction of time, chance and the subconcious mind.

Perhaps that image was there always, lying dormant until this very moment. Perhaps it was waiting to be awoken, waiting to be discovered. Or perhaps it is not there at all.
