Bleicher/Golightly Gallery in Santa Monica is pleased to present “Keep Life Simple” - A Solo Exhibition by Stephen Anderson, incorporating wit, humor, sarcasm, and personal history-insights.Multi-media artist Anderson creates psychologically poignant, detail obsessive 3-D pop up collages, paints with flame (pyrography) and also works with neon and video.

Through the manipulation of image, language and context, Anderson dissects and redefines his experience of post-modern life. The artist  invites the viewer to look, think, revisit and question their own preconceived notions, ideas and attitudes about cultural, sexual, political and religious stereotypes.

Anderson keeps us engaged while his unique visual poetry remains captivating, vulnerable and extremely honest. "Keep Life Simple" – A Solo Exhibition by Stephen Anderson (curated by Joella March), will be on view at the Bleicher/Golightly Gallery at 1431 Ocean Ave in Santa Monica from February 10th through March 3rd, 2011.  The artist reception will be held on Saturday February 19th from 6 to 10 pm.
