> DESCRIPTION

The implications of nuclear war and its after effects are the underlying theme of this body of work. Through the medium of etching, Andrea Chalekson works to transpose the essence of her dreams into pictorial landscapes. Image content is freely drawn directly onto the zinc plate while variations of black are created through the use of aquatint, further enhancing the potency of the content .
