More than twenty Hispanic and Latino-themed films will be sreened at the 8th Annual Indio International Hispanic Film Festival to be held Feb. 21-24, at the Indio Performing Arts Center, 45-175 Fargo St., Indio.
For the first time since Al Vasquez and Ana Rascon Vasquez founded the Festival in 2000, this year events will take place in Indio as well as in several cities in Mexico concurrently, making it one of the only bi-national film festivals in the world, Al Vasquez said.
The festival kicks-off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 with a reception that will feature an art exhibit, booths with products from South America, music and food from the Estancia Restaurant in Indio.
Cost: Opening night tickets are $35 and includes the reception and the screening of the award-winning film Erendira.
