Jägel has made an accordion-fold, 19-page book titled Flesh of My Skin, a multiple reference to the self-organizing character of his studio practice, to his father, to the welcome dissolution of his singular identity within family life with two daughters, and again a reference to Keith Hudson's album Flesh of my Skin, Blood of my Blood. The final, silk-screened version of the book includes a mix CD soundtrack featuring music by Keith Hudson, the story-song of the 21st Century warrior-poet Nate Denver, tattooed prophet Dan Higgs' creation story, an early-century, bajoed murder ballad, and much more all interspersed/overdubbed with audio samples from various sources.
