True Love Always Curated by Rebecca Campbell 16 February – 24 March 2007 Opening reception: Friday 16 February, 7-9 PM Angles Gallery is pleased to present True Love Always, a group exhibition curated by Rebecca Campbell. The exhibition will open with a public reception for the artists on Friday 16 February, from 7 to 9 PM. True Love Always explores the concept of truth, love and the eternal. The exhibition will focus on how we are culturally bound to this idea and its varied mutations and why painting and drawing are peculiarly suited to explore this territory. Painting and drawing inherently document the interslice between the theoretical and the physical, the first filtered through the second creating something new. These objects become artifacts, ideas processed through experiences. True Love Always is a reflection on love and sex, paintings and perversion and the inevitable confusion that arise by virtue of our own humanity. True Love Always will include works by: Donald Baechler, Heather Brown, Joan Brown, Jacqueline Bootier, Kristin Calabrese, Rebecca Campbell, James Castle, Charles Garabedian, Kenichi Hoshine, Alex Kanevsky, Marlene McCarty, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Raymond Pettibone, Rob Thom and Patty Wickman.
