8pm The Zeidel Trio (Scott Zeidel, Jeff Jones, Damjan Rakonjac) TZT is a classical guitar ensemble performing both newly composed and ancient music. Group members arrange and compose many of the presented works. The trio also commissions new work that celebrates the lyric and sonic possibilities of the amazing instrument known as the classical guitar. 9pm IMMIGRATION BLUES (Todd Becraft, Michael Grodsky) Human beings reduced to pain-free nothingness and codified in the text of U.S. Immigration Court proceedings. Presented by federal immigration attorney Todd Becraft and financial advisor Michael Grodsky. Video, readings, and sounds. Performance made possible by a grant from the TAM (Todd and Michael) Foundation. 10pm RUNNING WITH SCISSORS (free improvisation ensemble) Jeff Hawley: bluegrass banjo, free-jazz trombone, latin-jazz bass Michael Grodsky: guitar Eric "Dr. Wood" Woodruff: turntables & stuff RJ Ward: fried red guitar Heidi Swedberg: vocals, movement, lumber, lightness Steve Kraus, trumpet $10 donation.
