The 97th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition is the annual display of contemporary-traditional fine art by members of the historic California Art Club. This extensive exhibition spotlights new works from the nation’s leading representational fine artists, which will include plein air landscapes, portraits, still lifes and sculpture. The event enjoys a long tradition of showcasing the highest-quality fine art, which attracts top collectors from around the country, as all the works on display are available for acquisition. The Gold Medal Exhibition celebrates California Impressionism, the artistic movement that has been attributed to the Club’s founding members nearly a century ago and continues the legacy of such artists as Franz A. Bischoff, Guy Rose, and William Wendt, who were attracted by the Golden State’s natural beauty.
