Marcos Alvarez

Using a modern point of view, Marcos Alvarez uses drawings, paintings and sculptures to reinterpret the classic Greek myth of Icarus. In his work, Alvarez explores Icarus’ fateful journey towards the sun through the abstraction of the things, entities and places he encountered as he flew farther and farther away from the Earth. The show visually explores the meaning of perspective, reality and fantasy.
