Statler Waldorf Gallery is extremely pleased to present its second exhibition entitled “Hidden Bodies.” The works in the exhibition disguise, bury, suppress, camouflage, withhold,  dissemble, blot out, and occasionally reveal the concealed elements within them.

Joshua Aster unmasks the obscured layers in his paintings.
Jesse Bercowetz lays bare the substratum of manipulated subway posters.
Jennifer Boysen transmogrifies her paintings using a mixture of processes.
Joshua Callaghan envelops objects into objects.
Jamie Chan conceals faces within abstraction.
Michael Decker unlocks narratives around found figures.
Kiki Johnson draws on arcane symbols to tell unremembered stories.
Molly Larkey obliterates her failed drawings.
Josh Mannis masks himself in multiplicity.
Daniela Sea hides in plain sight.
Artists from the beyond use the ouija board to communicate with living artists (Christian Cummings and Michael Decker) to make their work.
