Duncan Miller Gallery announces an exhibition of work from two artists who create photographs without the use of cameras. This exhibition will present work surrounding flowers and plants\; each artist capturing t he vibrant and fragile essence of this living matter with unique methods.< /p>\n

Robert Buelteman uses a form of Kirlian contact photography with fi ber optic enhancement. He arranges live plants and flowers on a photo plat e connected to high voltage. When discharged\, the electricity illuminates the energy field of the subject onto the color film. Then he wands over t he image with a tiny fiber optic light to illuminate and enhance the detail in the image.

Ed Martin carefully arranges compositions of flower s\, plants and other objects on specially adapted photo enlargers and scann ers. Using carefully controlled light sources\, he is able to create image s with vivid depth of field.
