\nLearn more ab out the “stolen generation\,” a controversial chapter of\nAustralian histor y during which Aboriginal children were taken from\ntheir families by the s tate. Based on actual events\, Rabbit-Proof Fence\n(2002) tells the story o f three mixed-race Aboriginal girls who run\naway from the residential scho ol in which they were placed and try to\nreturn home. The film follows the girls as they walk for nine weeks\,\nalong a 1\,500 mile rabbit-proof fence \, to reunite with their families.

\nA Q&\;A will follow with a n artist-advocate from Artists for Amnesty\,\nan affiliate group of Amensty International comprised of committed\nartists who work to promote human ri ghts\, prevent abuse\, and save lives.
