*The core of this exhibition is Paul Strand’s Mexican P ortfolio\, 1967\, based on photographs originally taken in 1933. As a resul t of the travels of the rest of the photographers in this exhibition\, ther e was a rich cross-pollination between Mexican and American artists\, a rel ationship that has enriched the field of photography in countless ways. Luces y Sombras offers a glimpse at some of the result.
