Charles G laubitz\ndrawings\, acrylic paintings on canvas\, mixed media\, collage and \ninstallation flow together to form a meta-narrative telling the story\nof the "Viejo Mundo" and "Los Nuevos Dioses". The "Viejo Mundo" was\ndestroye d by two archetypes El Rey Capitalista and El Jardinero when\nfacing each o ther (ego and self) in their final struggle\, and thus\ncreating a new univ erse "Los Nuevos Dioses" where "Los Eternos" dwell.

< font color="#000000" face="trebuchet ms" size="2">Charles\nGlaubitz artwork is influenced by ancient cultures\, history\, myth\,\nalchemy\, hermetic k nowledge\, quantum physics\, comic books\,\nspirituality\, mysticism and Me xican pop culture. Los Eternos 2.0\, with\nmore than 100 individual pieces\ , is a chapter of the new "old" story\,\nthe inherent struggle among endles s duality fighting in a grand scheme\,\npopulated by subatomic and ethereal beings - a shamantic tale\, full of\narchetypes that live in works from ps ychology to comic books\, and with\ncharacters like The Capitalist King (Mi ckey Mouse) and the El NiƱo\nBurro (the maverick type) born from poverty of economics but rich in\ncreativity\, soul\, passion and drive. This body of work elaborate on\nthis great saga giving us a glance at the life\, death\ , battles\,\nconflicts\, ideals\, virtues\, vices - past\, present and futu re - where\nthe artist explores sub-plots and theatrical dramas.

Charles\nGla ubitz is a native of Tijuana\, born in 1973 to a Mexican mom and an\nAmeric an dad with German roots. He lives in Tijuana with his wife and\ndaughters and teaches at San Diego City College. Glaubitz received his\nBFA at the Ca lifornia College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco\, and\nhas exhibited m ore frequently in the United States than in Mexico. He\nwas a part of the e xhibit Strange New World: Art And Design from\nTijuana at the Museum of Con temporary Art in San Diego and The Santa\nMonica Museum of Art. His illustr ations have appeared in Rolling Stone\nand Nickelodeon magazine among other s. Most recently\, Juxtapoz Magazine\n(Dec 07) dedicated several pages feat uring him and his work.
