What is that intimate whisper at waking? A bird outside. The handsome stranger slee ping. The baby inside her. Using recordings of strangely robotic and beauti ful songbirds and the stuttering lyrical drone of human sleep sounds\, Jess ica Rath\, in collaboration with composer Robert Hoehn\, has created SONG T O SNORE\, a full room installation enveloping the viewer in a cocoon of des ire. For this amplified sensory experience\, the Torrance Museu m project space is split by two twelve foot lus h spiral walls\, enveloping and luring the viewer down an elusive path that emits mysterious transitions from song to sleep.
