Review

The postcards, internet images and banners for this exhibit simply do not do it justice!  These are exquisite works done by the women in the Bihar region of India.  An amazing story of rising social status and political voice amongst the painters accompanies the works.  At a glance, the paintings are bright, colorful.  They are captivating and draw viewers in for a closer look.  Once there, the audience is able to grasp the belaboring details and craftsmanship of the pieces leaving one wondering how they could have the patience for this activity!  Fascinating!!
