Juror Awards:
Two artists receive $250 plus an exhibition in 2013; two artists receive $250.
Open to all California artists. All fine arts visual media. No theme; unlimited number of entries.
Entries must received by 5 pm, Tuesday, February 14, or postmarked by February 14.

ABOUT THE JUROR
Michael Schwager is Professor of Art History
and Museum Studies, and Director of the
University Art Gallery at Sonoma State
University. He holds a BFA from the California
College of Arts and Crafts and an MA in
Museum Studies from JFK University. Prior to
Sonoma State, Michael held positions at the San
Francisco Art Institute, the Richmond Art Center,
and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
While he has worked with artists from across the
United States and beyond, his primary focus has
been on contemporary Bay Area art, about
which he has organized numerous exhibitions.
ABOUT SANCHEZ ART CENTER
The mission of Sanchez Art Center is to
create community through art.
Sanchez Art Center was established in 1996 when artists and
community members converted an old school into a multi-use arts complex
that now includes 3 galleries, 18 art studios, an arts classroom,
a ceramics lab, and the Mildred Owen Concert Hall.
The Art Center offers exhibitions by established and emerging California artists.
The Art Center and outreach programs make art accessible to people
of all ages and backgrounds through itsexhibitions, public lectures,
art classes and workshops, family art nights,ceramic lab availability, and
summer art campsfor kids. The Art Center also provides
affordable studio space to 30 local artists.
