Refreshing - and important

I was at the opening today for the show "Beyond the Camera". The show featured photographic work created by artists who merge traditional photography and physical or digital manipulation of the photographs. The work was symbolic for some and representative for others. Most notable, and eye-catching, was the work by Susan Berkowitz, whos Polaroid based images were intriguing and novel. Polaroid, like most film photography, is a dying medium, so this work may help maintain the unique style of Polaroid trasfers. You should get down to the studio to see these images, and learn more about Polaroid transfers and other soon-to-be lost artforms. It's great to see the University keeping a foot in traditional methods!
