Cannibal Flower @ Hangar 1018
by yukester

Hangar 1018
1018 S. Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90042
March 29, 2008 - March 29, 2008

Cannibal flower @ Hangar 1018 is something a bit special to me. First of all, I <3 Hangar 1018 for it's massive space and also having an outdoor area to chill at. The vibe is always a good mix since Cannibal Flower brings it's own crowd, plus those who remember those memorable nites at the Hangar 1018 seem to be a fan still after their reopening last year. They were one of the first places I ever showed at  :)

Last month's Cannibal Flower was held at the Hangar also & it was a super fun show to be at :) I got there right before the door opened since I had a bit of work to do to set up for the live painting part of the show. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that there would be a line before it opened... I think I turned blue for thinking I had more time to prepare since the venue is usually a late night thing.

I set up quickly and painted for the show while listening to the bumpin DJ music next to me. While I took breaks and waited for the paint to dry, I watched some amazing performances by Muffinhead and Miss Mindy doing their thing. When I was back-on, Magna played to celebrate their CD release. Great band, great art, and I had fun doing the live session.

I'm looking forward to going back again for the second month in a row to the Hangar!
