Mini_honey_bogna ARTSCENE article! "ARLENE BOGNA and BARBARA BLATT"
by
Arlene Bogna at Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825 June 21st, 2008 - July 18th, 2008
Posted 6/28/08

Excerpted from ArtScene ARLENE BOGNA and BARBARA BLATT By Suvan Geer (July 2008) Arlene Bogna’s "Safari Americana" photographs make the viewer sink into a nostalgic reverie. They exert a strong whiff of this country’s historic car culture. She asks us to consider what it is in human nature, or the Amer... [more]

The Grind Gallery Presents "UNDER THE RADAR" First I'd like to say it was difficult to pick just three artists to review. So many of the artists showing at The Grind Gallery are making beautiful, interesting, provocative work. From the show "Under the Radar No More", I felt compelled to write about Rebecca Hahn, Macsorro and Sean Ford. Rebecca Hahn showed a collection of assemblage pieces, gorgeous in their flawlessness. They draw the viewer into the picture plane with a... [more]

Ursic_front Review by Keri Jhaveri
by
Jaime Ursic at Underground Gallery March 29th, 2008 - April 7th, 2008
Posted 4/4/08

In her most recent body of work, titled Present Conditional at The Underground Gallery in Silverlake, Ursic seeks to reinterpret the medieval metropolis of Florence, drawing on her introspective observation of a city distilled to its most microcosmic elements. Working in monoprint, Ursic’s prints demonstrate her total emphasis on... [more]
