Kiran Subbaiah wanted to kill himself in Suicide Note (2006) because that’s the way truly famous people rolled, according to him. While viewing Narcissicon (2012), it seemed that he had made a miserable botch of a suicide. I went to the Appropriated Gender opening on Saturday night. So many interesting works of art were spread across three floors, from Kandy Lopez's attitude-filled giant portraits to the thoughtful craft-inspired works of Martin Casuso, an adorable painting ("Kissable") of one of JC Bravo's big-headed cabezones and a latch-hook rug by Kathleen Kranack that will remind you, "It's Your Fault."

As many already know, I am curating the all photography group show, "F8 and be there," at Cannery Row Studios in Redondo Beach.
We had an interesting experience while putting the placards by the art tonight (Fri, Aug 2). A woman asked if she could look at the gallery and bought the first piece of art she laid her eyes on.
